There are so many benefits to red light therapy and contrast therapy, but we understand it's new to many people so we have tried to answer your most common queries below.


Red Light Therapy offers many benefits. During the treatment, skin is exposed to non-invasive red and near-infrared light waves, which is scientifically proven to stimulate cellular function, enhance circulation, and reduce inflammation. This can boost muscle recovery, improve skin health, aid in pain relief, and more. It’s also been shown to promote relaxation and a calmer state of mind. The more skin you expose to the infrared light the better. The treatment room is private and solely yours for 20 minutes, so choose what makes you most comfortable. Wear underwear, togs, or nothing at all.
There has been no research to say Red Light Therapy is safe for pregnant women, so we would not recommend it. Also people with cardiac pacemakers, and patients with malignant tumours*. People who take photosensitises and those with an active haemorrhage or acute organ damage.
*this is precautionary. There is research surfacing around the benefits of red light therapy in the management of cancer and side effects from treatment, until this is more conclusive we are not recommending it.

For best results we recommend aiming for 2-3 times a week to start. After a period of 3-6 months you could change to a weekly maintenance session. Listen to your body, it will let you know what it needs.
Red Light Therapy doesn't create vitamin D, natural sunlight does this, but it can help support overall health and wellness. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, skin conditions, or sleep issues, red light therapy may be a beneficial treatment option to consider.
One of the great benefits of this therapy is that once finished you just carry on with your day as normal. Water is essential for the cellular process from the therapy, so hydrate with quality water afterwards. There is filtered water in the studio for you to drink.

The Red Light can not penetrate through SPF, and for optimal results we recommend removing make-up. There are face wipes outside the Red Light Therapy rooms for you to use.
